A Cursory Look at Christmas

So.

What happens when one wants to blog, but one doesn't really know what to blog about?

I mean, I would love to be witty (and more than likely verbose as my posts tend to be) but I'm lacking the inspiration for something to reflect on.

There's been no real knitting progress. This is due to our busy weekend.

Which brings me to that. Our busy weekend. Consisting of cleaning out our old apartment. Of which you don't want to hear, and quite frankly, I really don't want to relate.

I'm still sick, but again, another subject I don't want to delve further into.

My beautiful house is a mess. This is due mainly to two things: Christmas and all of our crap from the old apartment hasn't made its way into whatever nooks and crannies it will permanently live in. Not that I'm really excited about doing it either. Oh well, that's stuff I wasn't going to talk about.

So.

That brings me back to the beginning. What happens when one wants to blog, but one doesn't really know what to blog about?

Well, of course! One blogs about the loot they received for Christmas.

Well, why not? Admit it, you're curious.

From my father and his fiance:
- smoothie maker
- perfume
Thanks Dad and L!

From my husband's parents:
- Tim McGraw calendar (it's seriously like prOn)
- gift certificate to Target
- Longaberger Horizon of Hope Basket (this made me cry)
- tin of Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Squares
Thanks D & K!

From my sister in law:
- a snowman tea light lamp
Thanks, J!

From my hubby:
- wool peacoat with hood (love. it.)
- Dansko shoes (sinfully comfortable)
Thanks, babe!

From my sons:
- the best gift ever: their happiness.

So there you have it.

I truly love everything I received. I did find it humorous, though, that after many months of hinting that yarn would be a fabulous Christmas gift, not one skein wrapped in pretty paper was given.

After Christmas I pondered upon this.

And this is what I came up with: I think my family is afraid to buy me yarn.
