Maggie's Secret

Kittens, I've come to a conclusion about my girl Maggie.

She's insane. You want to know why?

She chases her tail.

There, I said it. Out loud (kinda) to people other than my husband and sons.

You see, we've tried to keep this little... gem... a secret because, well, I didn't want people to think that Maggie was stupid.

But I can't hide it anymore because maybe she is a little stupid. But at the same time, she's incredibly smart.

She can learn things in an instant, figure out exactly where you're hiding something from her, read our body language that we're going to take her outside before we even move to do so, and she has never once fallen for the "fake throw." See? In some respects, she's quite brilliant.

Except that one thing. She loves to chase her tail.

I've never had a dog that did this! Granted, my Sam is a Rottweiler and they don't have tails. They have little tiny nubbins. I love Sam's nubbin. When she's excited or happy, that little bitty thing starts wiggling and omg it's the cutest thing ever. But it's certainly nothing she can chase.

But Mags? She's got a whopper of a tail and boy does it seem to piss her off sometimes.

And the funniest thing about it? (Just when you thought it couldn't get better.) When Maggie starts to spin around and around chasing that tail of hers and biting it (how that doesn't make her stop I'll never know), my Sam looks on at her like she's the biggest idiot known to canines.

ROFL!
Maggie is a lab.
I'm learning that labs can appear to be very um, how you say... not right?

They are so funny. How boring would life be without Mags!?

We, too, were convinced that Sadie was the 'special' one out of her litter but I know now that they are all a little 'special'.
LOL. I catch myself saying, "You are sooo retarded" many times throughout the day. (Politically incorrect, I know.)

I want Sadie and Mags to meet so badly!!!!! Imagine the silliness.

(I love this post)

ROFL!

Ok I feel better. Because, I too, thought Maggie was the "special girl" out of her litter.

And I say the SAME THING to her! LOL

I want them to meet too! Then Maggie could stop picking on Sam so much. She and Sadie would have a BLAST!

That's it. You have to come here.

Hey - whatever happened with those ooky tent worms??

Ha! The worms are now beautiful... moths!
However, it's not so bad because they stay away from us and they eat mosquitoes. woot woot!
Plus, Sadie thinks they are very cool toys. She picks them up with her mouth and flips them all over the place and then seems very confused when they stop moving. See. Very special.

I have a dog and a cat that both chase their tails and I'm not afraid to admit it. After all, it's not me, it's them. ;)

ROFL....awww, she's just keeping herself happy...playing away the hours of the day. Now if she kept walking into glass doors, well then I might have to say she has some issues, but for now, it sounds like she is just enjoying life.
