MS 3, Part III

Moving right along with the Mystery Stole. I finished Clue 3 yesterday afternoon and so far I'm pretty pleased with it.
I'm still no closer to figuring out the theme. I see so many things in the different patterns, but none of them are an "A-ha! That's it!"
Melanie (the designer) has said that everything will make sense by Clue 5. I'm anxious to get there!
And a closer shot of Clue 3:
I really, really like the look of this part of the stole. The honeycomb-ish area is very pretty and the beads in the center are a great touch.
Of course, it will look so much better once it's off the needles and blocked. There are several people in the Flickr group that block their's in between finishing each clue. That's dedication.
As for non-knitting news, my very generous in-laws came up Saturday from Illinois. They spent the night and then on Sunday morning they left to go home, taking my sons with them. For a week.
A week! Hubby and I are here, alone in the house (well, with the dogs, of course) for a whole week! It's so nice. I can come and go as I please during the day, I don't have to separate them because they're fighting over who-knows-what, I don't have little voices whispering me awake at 7 in the morning - it's heaven.
I knit all day yesterday. I worked on MS 3 until I finished the clue, then I worked on two different socks for a while.
And then, I got ready to go meet another knitter in the area who's a part of the MS 3 group! We met at Starbucks last night and had a lovely time chatting and knitting. It was fun! I think we'll probably get together after another couple of clues - it's really nice to get to see another MS 3 in person (not to mention meeting another knitter!)
I've also got to get a few things ready to take with me to Stitch & Pitch at the Twins game this weekend. I can't wait!
Ok, back to enjoying my peaceful house. ;)

Aah, you guys are killing me with all these pretty MS3 stoles. I am trying to resist, really. I have too many other projects to finish by a certain time, plus studying. But it looks soooo pretty.
Wow.. looking good. Enjoy you guys alone time.
beautiful
It's so pretty. I'd like to know what the theme is too. Make sure to let us know as soon as you figure it out, k.
Enjoy your week of peace.
Won't expect much blogging from you. wink wink.
You're doing a beautiful job on the stole!
Are you using lifelines at all? This is my first msjor lace project so I think I will be putting alot of them in! =)
Toni
Thanks, everyone!
Nikki! Nice to see you. Cast on for it! Hee hee, I won't tell. ;)
Andi, hubs and I have had a great time this week!
Thanks, Kari!
Kare, I'll be sure to let you know. It's stumping me something awful! But I'm working on Clue 4 right now and it looks like it's going to be so delicate.
Thanks, Toni! Nope, no lifelines. I'm probably angering the knitting gods by doing that. I will use the one that Melanie recommended, though, so maybe that will calm them. ;)I figure she's got to have a good reason for suggesting that.
Keep me posted on yours!
Beautiful! No way would I be able to do something like this.
Wow, your stole looks great!!!! I thought I'd comment here. You know how people are about OT. I just saw Wicked this past May. I've read the book and the next one, "Son of a Witch." I could go on and on. I loved it and my 5 year old granddaughter is totally enthralled by it. It took me a while to convince her that Elphaba was good and the wizard was bad though. :)
Thanks, Peggy!!
Yes, Wicked! is one of the best stories I've ever read/seen.
Glad you got your granddaughter to see "the dark side." ;)
Your stole is coming along very nicely! I like the light color.
Your mystery is looking so lovely....I'm drooling over it.
Enjoy the peace and quiet, it won't last long.
