New Look
So I've had this hank of Schaefer Anne for a while. I've tried knitting with it in about five different projects, but ended up frogging each one of them.
Why?
Because I hated the colors. While it was beautiful in its original hank, once knitted, the colors were just not my taste anymore. I didn't like the way they gathered together. And it didn't matter what project I threw at it.
About a month ago I reskeined it on my swift in a lo-o-ong hank so that I could over-dye it in longer color progressions. It's been sitting around waiting patiently for the dyepot.
And when did I choose to do this? At 10-o-freakin clock last night. Because apparently I'm that much of a freak that I'd take on a three hour dye job that late.
I blame it on the fact that hubby's out of town and I get restless at night when he's not here. Yea, that's it.
Anyway... What once looked like this:
Now looks like this:
Or, rather, like this:

Reskeining makes all the difference!
As for my other projects: Spinning is going well. I ordered some beautiful superwash fiber in shades of purples and I'm spinning that up into what I hope will be sock weight. The single is for sure, but I'd like to ply two together for a delicious blend of the gorgeous colors. I think it will create a stunning tonal range. We'll see.
I'd like to order another Spindolyn, soon, too. She has an option where you can order just the spindle without the base, but I figure if I'm going to do that, why not just pay the extra and get another whole Spindolyn.
The project I'm knitting for work is going well. It's something I would never make for myself, but Steven and I put together a blend of different yarns in the same color family that really work nicely together. Look for pics sometime soon.
Other than that, I have a couple of other things on the needles, but nothing is really thrilling me right now. I think a huge part of that is that the sweater calling has finally reached me. All I can think about is knitting myself a sweater. So now I'm on a search for a great pattern. If you have any suggestions, shoot them my way please!

Great dye job! The vibrant colors are so much better.
I've not seen the Spindolyn before! Very tempting! (must go distract myself now from buying it hehe)
Thanks, Toni!!
Oooh, the Spindolyn is great! That's what I spun the singles with out of the roving I bought from you!
